Claysburg Gets New Truck

The United Telephone Company reported there were 547 telephones in use in Martinsburg. The national average was one telephone for every five Americans.

The Claysburg Fire Company was expecting delivery of a new $7,000 fire truck that would provide a pumper, booster tank, and hose for fire protection in the community. The Company also purchased the Murdock estate in the Claysburg business district to establish a fire hall for the new truck.
