Intersection of Routes 36, 164 Set for Improvement; Completion Set for Fall 2024

PennDOT Project Manager Melissa Irwin, goes over the plans for the Routes 36 and 164 improvement project with Mark Curfman of Martinsburg. Work is slated to begin in the spring 2024.

Anyone who has driven through Roaring Spring at around 3 p.m. on a weekday knows how congested it can get, with traffic sometimes backing up as far as McKee.

A traffic safety study by PennDOT of the Route 36 corridor from I-99, Exit 23, to Cross Cove Road, identified areas that could be improved to relieve traffic congestion and reduce the number of accidents.
