The Randy Bigelow family of Point View Farm, Williamsburg RD, was presented with a 25-year-membership plaque by Atlantic Dairy Cooperative at the district banquet held at Central High School. At the same meeting, a majority of those present rejected the proposed merger of Atlantic Dairy with Land O’Lakes.

The Hoblitzell National Bank in Hyndman was robbed by a lone gunman on a motorcycle. It was the third bank in Bedford County to be robbed in the past four months.
