New Supt. To Serve as Acting C-K Elementary Principal

The incoming superintendent of the Claysburg-Kimmel School District will be starting off in a different position.

Mark Loucks, who was hired last month to take over this summer for retiring superintendent Darren McLaurin, will indefinitely serve as acting principal at Claysburg-Kimmel Elementary School.

The school was being run by music teacher Travis Leap following the DUI arrest of Matt Hall in February.

Hall is accused of causing an accident in Hollidaysburg that injured two people. According to police reports, Hall’s blood alcohol content was .258, which is about three times the legal...
