Spring Sports Preview to be Pushed Back

Every season, the Herald does a preview of our four local schools’ sports teams.

Due to multiple requests from athletic directors and coaches, the Herald has decided to push the upcoming Spring Sports Preview and all future previews back one week.

The sports previews were intended to be published before the season started so that fans could see the schedule before the first week of games. The Spring Sports Preview will now run in the March 31, 2022, edition. This means any games played from March 25 to 31 will not be in the preview.

We have requested that athletic directors and coaches send schedules early so that we can publish the first week of games on the sports page. Please refer to the sports page on March 24 to see the first week of schedules for spring sports.

With spring sports approaching, the Herald also reminds readers, fans, coaches and athletic directors to send sports information or write ups to the Herald throughout the season. The Herald encourages students who are interested in writing about their school’s sports to reach out to Editor Anna Baughman to discuss becoming a student correspondent.
