Keep Watch for Cock Fighting

The humane authorities were notified to watch for instances of cock fighting in Martinsburg. Several boys were seen shearing the comb and lobes off a rooster in order to give him more advantage in a fight, leading to speculation that fights were taking place.

Professor Williams Eller, 78, died of dropsy at his home in Newry. He was a violin instructor and considered the finest violinist in the state.

Officer McGraw of Hollidaysburg paid a visit to Williamsburg in search of William Delozier who was wanted for stealing Liveryman Vaughn’s horse.
