Edward Paul Drake, 73, of rural Martinsburg passed away Sunday evening, March 13, 2022, at his daughter’s home in Wilmore.

He was born November 3, 1948, in Roaring Spring, son of the late Malcolm F. and Marie L. (Cogan) Drake. On July 4, 1969 he married Lillian Ruth Chadwick in Hollidaysburg.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years; a daughter, Tina M. Bougher (Herman T. Michael) of Wilmore; a granddaughter, Paige M. Bougher (Michael J. Sauter) of Wilmore; a great-grandson, Erin Paul Sauter; two sisters: Betty Mae Harclerode of Woodbury and Bonnie Irene Clark of Everett; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Jean Harclerode; and four brothers: Donald E., Benjamin L., Ronald D. and Robert F. Drake.

Edward was a 1966 graduate of Central High School, Martinsburg, where he participated in the 4-H program and also attended Penn State University for agriculture.

He was employed as a supervisor/scheduler for Grove Manufacturing, Greencastle for 25 years and also worked as a dairy and pig farmer in rural Martinsburg for many years.

Edward loved spending time with his family and also enjoyed raising rabbits, flower gardening, and vegetable gardening.

Friends will be received from 1 until 3 p.m., Thursday, March 17, 2022, at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg (www.bolgerfuneralhome.com), where a funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. Pastor Timothy Guyer will officiate. Private interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.

Memorial contributions in memory of Edward may be given to Blair County 4-H, 266 Aviation Way, Martinsburg, PA 16662.
