The Blair County Dog Park Association acquired 4.5 acres of land behind Long’s Outpost in Taylor Township for a private dog park. The owner was allowing the group to use the land free of charge for a minimum of 10 years. There would be a membership fee and only non-aggressive dogs would be admitted. Organizers were hoping to have a section for small dogs and another for dogs more than 30 pounds.
