For many months, the Catharine Township Supervisors have been working on a new Farm Show lease. At last Thursday evening’s meeting, the supervisors discussed having the solicitor draw up a potential lease.
There are two leases between Catharine Township and the Farm Show Board – one of which is expired. An important point of discussion was the acreage for the Farm Show.
For 40 acres, the Farm Show receives a Class A grant. With less acreage, the Farm Show would receive a Class B grant. This would cause a loss of about $2,000 annually for the Farm Show.
