State Senator Judy Ward Announces Re-Election Campaign

“It has been an honor to represent the residents of the 30th District in the State Senate,” stated Ward.

A lifelong resident of Blair County, Ward was elected to the Pennsylvania State Senate in 2018, following two terms in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Ward, who is the first woman to represent the 30th Senate District, is one of the most conservative voices in Harrisburg.

As Chairman of the Senate Aging and Youth Committee, Senator Ward has been presented with the Legislative Champion Award by the nursing homes, assisted living communities and personal care homes for her legislative efforts to help these residents and caregivers who were at the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prior to her election to the House and Senate, Ward spent 22 years as a Registered Nurse. During that time, she also founded a business that assisted local businesses in relocating and welcoming new employees into the community.

In 2010, Ward brought her experience in medicine and business to the private sector, becoming the Medical, Health and Wellness Coordinator at Ward Transport and Logistics. There she was responsible for helping employees to take an active role in their health.

Senator Ward is a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and earned a nursing diploma at the Altoona Hospital School of Nursing. She is a graduate of R.U.L.E. – The Pennsylvania Rural Urban Leadership Program run by the Penn State University College of Agricultural Sciences.

Ward resides in Hollidaysburg with her husband, Bill. They are the proud parents of two grown sons, Bill Jr., and Adam.
