Probably all of us remember Jonah from our days in Sunday School. He was an ordinary man, minding his own business when God called him to carry His message to the city of Nineveh. His entire story is in the book of Jonah in the Old Testament. It is only four chapters long. There is almost a playful aspect to Jonah’s story: a kind of slapstick clumsiness about Jonah as he bumbles his way along, trying, but never succeeding to avoid God.
