The Cove Apple Packers Cooperative paid the last of its obligations to local businessmen who bought bonds in 1962 to finance the purchase of equipment at the packing plant in Martinsburg.

Robert Beach of Bedford County and Wayne Stonerook of Blair County were named Young Cooperators in their respective districts for the Inter-State Milk Producers Cooperative. The two men will compete in Maryland for the title of the 1972 Inter-State Young Cooperator.
