Pool Prep

The staff at Morrisons Cove Memorial Park is already busy preparing for the upcoming season.

If anyone drove past the pool recently would notice that the water is already blue. But the pool is not yet prepared for the summer influx of guests. Just like Prospect Pool in Altoona, a leak has been occurring over the past couple of years with the 250,000 gallon pool. The board has decided to use some of the reserves in the capital projects fund to hire Haven Ridge Excavating of Roaring Spring to dig around the plumbing system of the pool to help find the leak.

The pool is on schedule to open Memorial Day weekend with a number of improvements including a new twin turbo slide and a boiler system heating unit to warm the waters of the natural spring water.
