Blair Gastro Opening New Office in Roaring Spring On the Nason Campus

Blair Gastroenterology Associates is very excited to announce the opening of a new office located in Roaring Spring. The office will be opening on May 18, 2022. The address for the office is 104 Nason Drive, Suite #4. It is located in the Cove Medical Building, on the Conemaugh Nason campus.

Dr. Anan Said will be seeing patients in the new office along with Loni Baird, PA-C. Procedures will be scheduled at Conemaugh Nason and at Blair Gastro’s Endoscopy Center, Allegheny Regional Endoscopy.

The new office will give easy access to patients from the Morrisons Cove region. New patients and existing patients of Dr. Said will be welcome to start scheduling immediately for May 18, 2022, appointments. The office hours will be on limited Wednesdays from 7:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Blair Gastro will be bringing their Colon Cancer Screening Center concept to the new office to help patients determine the best choice for colon cancer screening. A thorough colon cancer risk assessment will be conducted, including a review of family, social and personal history to determine which screening test is appropriate. The options available for screening are Colonoscopy (which is considered the “Gold Standard” for colon cancer prevention), Cologuard and Fecal Occult Blood Test (FOBT). The screening colonoscopy is the “Gold Standard” because it is the most effective method for physicians to identify and remove lesions and polyps that are pre-cancerous.

Blair Gastro recommends that primary care physicians send their patients to the Blair Gastro Colon Cancer Screening Center for a thorough determination of the best option for colon cancer screening. It is also possible to call Blair Gastro directly to schedule an appointment without a referral.
