Sealed proposals will be received by the Woodbury Township, of Blair County, at 6385 Clover Creek Road, Williamsburg, PA 16693, until 7p.m. on May 5, 2022, for the following:

Item 1, 1,870 ton, Superpave scratch and leveling course, 9.5mm, in place

Item 2, 2,805 ton, Superpave wearing course, 9.5mm, in place

The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage aCT applies to the project only if the bid amount exceeds $100,000.00.

Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $885.00 per calendar day.

Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the Municipality.

For third class cities the bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to the municipality. For other municipal types it is the discretion fo the municipality.

A performance bond or certified check in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder within 20 days after the contract is awarded.

The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.

INVITATION TO BID EXCAVATION, GRADING & PAVING OF TOWNSHIP PARKING LOT

Sealed bids will be received by the Taylor Township Board of Supervisors. 7217 Pike, Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania, 16673 until 3:00 pm Thursday, April 28, 2022 for the excavation, grading & paving of the Township parking lot. The requirements consist of: Excavation & Grading of approximately 3,000 sy, Paving of 25 mm base at 4.5” depth at approximately 2,350 sy, Paving of 25mm base at 2.5” at approximately 650 sy. Paving of 9.5 mm wearing at 1.5” depth at approximately 3,000 sy, The awarded bidder will be required to prepare all necessary designs and/or plans which shall be consistent with the above-referenced specifications. Required permits will be obtained by the awarded bidder from the township and any other governmental authority in accordance with applicable law. The awarded bidder will be responsible for providing and transporting all materials associated with the project. The project can be started on July 11, 2022 and must be completed by Thursday, September 15, 2022. Said bids will be opened and read at 6:00 pm, Monday May 2nd, 2022 and it is anticipated that contracts will be awarded at the regular scheduled meeting of the Board of Supervisors at 6:00 pm May 2nd, 2022. Attendance at a pre-construction meeting at 1:00 pm Wednesday May 4th, 2022 is mandatory for the awarded bidder. The meeting will be held at the construction site at the above location. A complete Bid Package with General Instructions, Terms, and Conditions, and other Contract Documents may be obtained at the Taylor Township Municipal Building, 7217 Woodbury Pike, Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania 16673, during regular business hours, Monday thru Thursday 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. Each bid submission must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount payable to Taylor Township. A Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the awarded bid amount and a Worker’s Compensation Certificate shall be submitted by the awardee within twenty (20) days of the award of the contract. The deposits of bidders, other than the awardee to whom the contract is awarded, will be returned after the award of the contract. This contract is subject to the following: the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act conditions for projects above $25,000; the Federal Occupational Safety & Health Act of 1970 (OSHA) conditions; the Pennsylvania Act 287 of 1974, as amended by Act 172, of 1986, as amended by Act 187 of 1996; the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act 222 conditions; the Architectural Barriers Act of 1968 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1073; PA Act 235 of 1965, as. amended, Universal Accessibility Act; and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990; and the non-discrimination in Employment/Contract Compliance Regulations Conditions.
