Lady Dragon Softball Conquers the Eagles

The Lady Dragons faced the Bald Eagle Lady Eagles and defeated them in a seven-inning 9-8 victory.

The Lady Dragons took a strong four-point lead in the first inning, while only giving up one run to the Lady Eagles. In the second inning, the Lady Eagles scored a massive seven runs, leaving the Lady Dragons trailing by 4. The Lady Dragons followed, however, by bringing in two runs in the third inning, one run in the fourth, and two more in the sixth, without letting the Lady Eagles bring in another run.

Lacey Lynn was four for four at bat, hitting two home runs, while having six RBIs, and 10 strikeouts pitching to get the win. Bralyn Ellis had three hits including a two-run home run, and Taylor Stock had two hits for the Lady Dragons. Maya Hazenstab and Madison Kennedy each scored 2 runs for the Lady Dragons as well.

Coach Burket said, “It was a hard fought win. The girls are starting to play well together as a team, and their confidence is growing with each game.”

This win leaves the Lady Dragons with a record of 4-1. The Lady Dragons have an away game against the Richland Lady Rams, a home game against the Bishop McCort Lady Crushers, another home game against the Johnstown Lady Trojans, an away game against the Somerset Lady Eagles, and a final home game against the Altoona Lady Mountain Lions to round off the upcoming week.
