The following abandoned vehicles will be sold at public auction at Walter’s Auto Wrecking, 403 Walter’s Lane, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648, on April 30, 2022 at 10am. Vehicles: 2007 Nissan, VIN# 5N1BV28U57N117143; 2003 Ford, VIN# 1FTYR15EX3PB72910; 2002 Subaru, VIN# 4S3BE645327213361. REQUEST FOR BIDS FOR THE ROARING SPRING BOROUGH FOR HOURLY RATE FOR CONTRACT LABOR & HOURLY EQUIPMENT RATE

FOR EMERGENCY RESPONSE

The Roaring Spring Borough at 616 Spang Street, Roaring Spring, PA 16673 is seeking bids to obtain hourly labor rates for independent contractors willing to provide labor services to the Borough on an as needed basis, for a four (4) year term from May 2022 through December 31, 2026.

All bidders must possess the following skill set and be ready to provide verification of the skill set if their bids are accepted:

• Bidder must have the equipment at hand and ability to respond to Emergency / Snow Plowing and salting roadways.

• Bidder must have experience in snow plowing and streets.

Bidder must provide a sealed bid setting forth the TOTAL hourly rate which will be charged for services rendered. Along with the hourly rate being stated in writing, the following documentation must be included:

• A list of equipment available for your use in the contract work being sought.

• Proof of workers’ compensation coverage for all employees at limits required under applicable law.

• Proof of automobile insurance covering all vehicles which may be used in providing the contract labor under this bid, with liability and/or umbrella coverage in the aggregate of no less than $500,000.00 for an individual claim and $1,000,000.00 in total claims arising from one occurrence.

• Proof of liability insurance covering the bidder’s negligence, with coverage (including applicable umbrella coverage) with limits of no less than $500,000.00 for an individual claim and $1,000,000.00 for an aggregate claim.

Bids and required documents must be delivered in a sealed envelope marked “Labor Contract Bid” no later than May 6, 2022, at 4:00 pm to 616 Spang Street, Roaring Spring, PA 16673.

Bids will be opened at the May 9, 2022, meeting at 6:00 p.m.. The Roaring Spring Borough reserves the right to reject all bids, and/or any bids which are not compliant with the Request for Bids. The lowest acceptable bid will be approved by the Roaring Spring Borough Council, to create a list of contractors who can be called for an Emergency Response from May 2022 through December 31, 2026.

No employment relationship is intended to be created from any services rendered not is any minimum amount of work being guaranteed.

NOTICE is given that the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Freedom will consider an Ordinance at its regular meeting to be held on June 7, 2022, at 7:00 pm at the Township Municipal Building, East Freedom, Pennsylvania providing for a tax certification fee and tax duplicate retrieval and copy fee, a summary of which is as follows:

ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FREEDOM, BLAIR COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA APPOINTING THE LOCALLY ELECTED TAX COLLECTOR AS THE AGENT AUTHORIZED TO PROVIDE REAL ESTATE TAX CERTIFICATIONS AND ESTABLISHING A FEE FOR PROVIDING SUCH CERTIFICATIONS; AND ESTABLISHING A FEE FOR THE LOCALLY ELECTED TAX COLLECTOR TO PROVIDE DUPLICATES UPON REQUEST

SECTION 1. TAX CERTIFICATION. Effective January 1, 2024, tax certification fee: $25.00 per taxing year certified per tax identification parcel number

SECTION 2. TAX DUPLICATE. Effective January 1, 2024, tax duplicate retrieval and copy fee: $10.00 per taxing year per tax identification parcel number

• Skid loader

• Safety equipment .

• Pickup truck with plow and/or salt spreader

Bidder must provide a sealed bid setting forth the TOTAL hourly rate which will be charged for each piece of equipment as well as a brief but specific description of the equipment itself. Along with the hourly rate being stated in writing, the following documentation must be included:

• Proof of automobile insurance covering all vehicles which may be rented under this bid, with liability and/or umbrella coverage in the aggregate of no less than $500,000.00 for an individual claim and $1,000,000.00 in total claims arising from one occurrence.

• Proof of insurance covering other items of equipment which may be rented under this bid.
