We are looking at Resurrection Sunday night. At least ten disciples, most likely more Followers of Jesus also, are gathered in an Upper Room. Probably it is the same upper room where Jesus shared the Last Passover Meal with His Disciples. They locked the door and likely “blacked-out” the windows. There is no doubt they were terrified.
