Courtney Gayle, infant daughter of Mrs. Elda Edmonson of Altoona, was interred in Fairview Cemetery, the funeral cortege coming in autos from Altoona. The little child was born April 23 and died May 8.

Jere Stahl, a farm hand employed by D. A. Miller of South Martinsburg, was painfully injured by a horse that became frightened and ran away, dragging Miller for some distance. Dr. Bonebreak was called but found no internal injuries.
