South Woodbury Twp. Approves Community Yard Sale Days

South Woodbury Township Board of Supervisors met on Monday, May 3, at 9 a.m. in the Township building. All supervisors were present.

Monthly bills and the treasurer’s report were reviewed and approved.

The roadmaster reported tree trimming and snow plowing was done.

An update was given on 2022 Golden Rule Drive culvert replacement project bids. All bids were rejected. The lowest bid did not meet prequalification. All other bids were too high. New bids will be submitted for the fall.

A letter was sent to residents of 248 Chestnut St regarding parking on the street. The family has agreed to cut the bank back so their car will be off the street.

Secretary Rachel White gave a report on attending Allegheny Supply Trade Show and Educational Seminars. Items needed for the office were questioned about pricing such as waterless hand cleaner and paper products to do a cost comparison.

Tri County Office Machines letter was received. The business was sold and is now called Ford Office Technologies. They now only deal with printers, scanners, and phones; no supplies.

A Cove Community Theater representative attended to discuss parking at the theater. Permission was granted by supervisors to keep parking as ordered. Handicap striping will be painted outside of ramp in front of theater.

A solar panel ordinance was discussed. Supervisors will have an ongoing discussion on this.

Aging accounts for wastewater letters were sent out to residents.

The wastewater pump station clean out remains ongoing.

Discussion took place on having Community Yard Sale Days in New Enterprise. Supervisors approved June 10 and 11 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. They will place an advertisement in the Morrisons Cove Herald and would appreciate residents posting on Facebook.

The next meeting will be June 7 at 9 a.m.
