Dragon Volleyball Takes Two

The Central volleyball team faced and defeated both the Dubois Beavers and the West Shamokin Wolves this past week.

Against the Beavers, the Dragons won the match in just three sets, winning 25-10, 25-17, and 25-13.

Eli Lingenfelter and Cayden Wright led with 11 service points each. Zeb Wyant added eight, while Zach Gahagan added seven. Luke Weber had six and Zach Wyant had five. Zeb Wyant led with 10 kills and Lingenfelter had six blocks. Weber contributed 12 assists, while Zach Wyant had eight assists, seven kills and five blocks. The Central JV team, however, was not victorious, losing both sets 25-22 and 25-18.

In the Senior Night match against the Wolves, the Dragons won yet again in only three sets, 25-19, 25-21, and 25-16.

Zeb Wyant led with 13 service points, while Zach Gahagan and Luke Weber each had eight. Zach Wyant added seven, while Lingenfelter and Wright each had five. Zeb Wyant led with 11 kills and five aces. Lingenfelter and Weber each had five kills, while Wright and Zach Wyant contributed four kills each. Weber ended with 13 assists with Zach Wyant closely behind, adding 12. The JV team was unable to attain victory, losing both sets, 25-18, and 25-23.

The Central Volleyball Team will now face the Altoona Mountain Lions, and the Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders, as well as participating in the OLSH Boys Volleyball Tournament within the week.
