The NBC baseball team ended their season with a 4-0 loss at Fannett-Metal in the first round of the D-5 playoffs this week. The Panthers struggled to get anything going offensively in this one, managing just six hits and zero runs. When the Panthers did reach base, they struggled with baserunning and were put out at second base on two different occasions, stopping potential rallies. Pitching and defense were both pretty solid, but Fannett-Metal was able to scratch across a few runs to win the game.
