BYOB – Is It Enforceable By The Borough?

The Brickhouse Bistro attended the Williamsburg Borough Council meeting to ask about having a “bring your own beverages” option at their establishment.

Solicitor Nathan Karn said that the borough cannot say, “No facilities or establishments can not be BYOB.”

Karn went on to say that the Borough cannot regulate it, and “doesn’t think it’s enforceable.”

The council voted on the noise ordinance discussed at last month’s meeting. This ordinance would be in effect from 9:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday to Saturday. On Sunday morning, the ordinance would be in effect until 8 a.m.
