The Spring Cove School Board approved a three year contract with Channel One Network to supply news and programming to the Spring Cove Middle School. Channel One would install the equipment needed as part of the deal.

The Cove Community Chorus under the direction of Jack Shaffer, was planning a spring concert in the chapel of Homewood Retirement Center. Jackie (Bolger) Smith of Roaring Spring was accompanist.
