Hoenstine Reflects on Central's Big Win

Central coach A.J. Hoenstine watches as home plate and first base umpires confer after a call that Hoenstine questioned.

Coach A.J Hoenstine and his Central Dragons baseball team completed their historic 27-0 season with a mercy rule 13-2 win over Lancaster in five innings on Friday, June 17, giving Central its first state championship since 2017.

Coach Hoenstine is no stranger to baseball; he played baseball in college while getting his degree in education. He knows what its like to be a player. It's one of the major reasons why his players respect him and how he gets so much out of his players.
