The Fourth passed off unusually quiet. Old Glory was sent floating to the breeze from many a home and dwelling, bidding defiance to any but the true and brave. The usual amount of powder was burnt, both Saturday and Monday. One boy had an accident with too much familiarity due to such occasions, and for his jingoism, eyebrows and whiskers are distressingly few since and in addition the epidermis that covers the prominent protuberance on the face is also short.
