Songbird Killings Continue

Notwithstanding repeated warnings, the wanton and malicious killing of songbirds still continues. A number of boys, (and we are sorry to say, men who should exercise better sense), are guilty of this. The slaughter must be stopped, and speedily, or the law will be enforced.

The courts have decided that if a person rides a bicycle wantonly, carelessly and recklessly as to endanger the lives of others, he may be convicted of a criminal assault. It is not incumbent on the Commonwealth to show a deliberate intent to run down the injured party.
