The Altoona-Blair County Airport is about to embark on a new era of passenger service when Contour Airlines, pending U.S. Department of Transportation approval, takes over as the airport's carrier in October.
Contour Airlines, headquartered in Smyrna, Tennessee, was approved by the Altoona-Blair County Airport Authority Board of Directors to enter an Essential Air Service agreement (EAS) with the airport and if approved, is expected to begin service on Oct. 1, taking over for current carrier Boutique Air, which has been the airport's carrier since January 2021.
