Woodbury Announces LERTA Meeting Date

As with the other townships, Williamsburg Borough and the Williamsburg School District, Woodbury Township Supervisors discussed LERTA at its Thursday, July 7, meeting.

LERTA, Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance, is a tax program created in PA authorizing local municipalities and townships to give a tax break for new construction. The program seeks to draw new residents and businesses to the area.

Woodbury announced that the Farm Show Building would hold the LERTA informational meeting on July 18. Full coverage of that meeting will be in next week’s Herald.

Stone bids were opened with two different companies receiving bid acceptance. Grannas Brothers was awarded all the stone bidding.

With unique paving, New Enterprise won the bid.

The IRS recently increased the mileage reimbursement for the rest of the year – 62.5 cents/per mile. Clark made a motion to accept and keep the IRS mileage rate with Hamilton seconding. The motion passed.
