Children Considered for Admisison

The school boards of North Woodbury township and Martinsburg borough met in joint session to consider the admission of soldiers’ children from the township as pupils in the borough schools. The previous year a number of soldiers’ children attended the boro’s public schools and when the township board received the bill for their schooling, the board refused to pay it. It was decided that hereafter the parents or guardians would be responsible for tuition.
