Hollidaysburg Library Director Retires After 18 Years

Hollidaysburg Area Public Library Director Janet Eldred's retirement took effect as of July 15, the day before her 65th birthday.

After receiving her Master's Degree in Library Sciences, Eldred worked at Mt. Aloysius, one of the libraries at the main campus of Penn State, and the Centre County Library. Eldred also completed an internship at the Library of Congress.

"I have always enjoyed books, so this seemed like a good fit for me," Eldred said.

Eldred was the library director at Hollidaysburg for 18 years.
