After two years of anticipation, major improvements and additions were made to the Ski Gap Community Center and the “Field of Dreams” ballfield. Members of Blair County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Blair County Class of 2011 completed the project as part of their community service.

Friends Farm was offering a Food Preservation Class at their farm. The class was being taught by Penn State master Food Preserver Jackie Forsht and Extension Educator Sharon McDonald. Participants would be coached on canning and freezing tomatoes, salsas and fruits, and pickling.
