August 4, 2022
Herald of Aug. 7, 1997
A Martinsburg RD man was killed when he was pulled into a paper machine at Appleton Papers Spring Mill plant in Roaring Spring. Daniel L, Ogg, 40, was working at the No. 3 paper machine when his hands were pulled into the machine’s heavy rollers. He was pulled in up to his shoulders and died from asphyxiation.
The local leg of the ‘Tour de ‘Toona was deemed a rousing success. The 20.1 mile loop through Martinsburg, North Woodbury Township and Huston Township was liked by the cyclists, and plans were being made to use the same route the following year.
