Police Car Damaged

Herald of Aug. 10, 1972

The new Williamsburg police car was damaged by vandals while it was parked across the street from Tate’s Jewelry Store early one morning when the officers were on foot patrol. The air was let out of one tire, the valve caps were removed from the other three tires, a rear view mirror was removed and the radio antenna was bent to the ground. The red light on top of the car was also cracked.

Miss Crystal Gordon was crowned 1972 Claysburg Fire Queen. She went on to participate in the Blair County Fire Queen competition where she was named first runner-up.
