Planning Committee Meets

The joint planning committee for the proposed consolidation of five school districts in the central part of the Cove recommended that the high school be located at Roaring Spring and the junior high school at Cove High. All of Huston Township’s one room schools would close as would the one room school houses in Henrietta and Curryville.

Dealers estimated the Cove’s wheat crop was worth about $450,000 to $500,000. Most local mills were filled, but rail shipments continued night and day at Curryville. The Curry Supply Company had shipped out 23 carloads and the Cove...
