A few years ago, the borough was looking into fixing the flooding problem coming off Route 866 from Piney Creek coming into town. Although those plans fell through, the borough announced last Monday evening that PennDOT was looking into other options.

PennDOT sent a proposal to channel the runoff after heavy rains into the race. Borough members said that the county bridge below Liberty Street, where the race currently flows, would have to be widened.
