Wind Hits Sproul Hard

Five members of the Harry Thompson family were injured when a gust of wind demolished their mobile home at Cottontown near Sproul. The wind from a thunderstorm ripped the trailer from its concrete anchor posts and flipped it on its side and broke the trailer apart. Of the five, a nine month old infant was the most seriously injured, suffering a deep cut in the stomach causing internal injuries. The storm also damaged other property in the area, but caused no other injuries.
