C-K Athletic Complex Bids Awarded

The Claysburg-Kimmel School Board awarded a $1.18 million contract to Leonard S. Fiore of Altoona for the renovation of its athletic complex with work set to begin this fall.

A late addition to this month’s meeting agenda, the board voted on motions to get the project underway after almost two-years of delays brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic and supply chain issues.

To get the project moving forward, the board agreed to eliminate the wellness center and concession stand from bid consideration with the intention of rebidding for them later.
