Hollidaysburg Borough To Fill Police Chief Role

During the last borough meeting, Mayor Joe Dodson stated as a result of retirement of a police officer and one joining the state police force, Hollidaysburg Police Deptartment, now down to six officers, needed to hire two officers as soon as possible.

During a special Borough council meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 3, a potential hiring of one of those police officers was unanimously approved by council. The Civil Service Commission gave the council a list of names of candidates that had been certified.
