Becoming a Sincere Seeker

Biblical text Matthew 15: 10-20, 21-28

Have you ever noticed that many of the people at the center of our gospel narrative seem to be the kind of people who might not have a place in our lives? What does that tell us? Jesus took people whom you or I might mindlessly pass on the street or in a store, people we might not choose to associate with, people on the very margins of society, and He places them at the center of the narrative we call the Gospel. These people come to Jesus as sick, despised, poor, as women, men, children, as sinners of every type…but Jesus always sees a child of God...
