Benefit Auction To Support Children and Central Pa Clinic

On Saturday Sept. 10, 2022, at 8:30 a.m. at the Morrisons Cove Produce Auction Building, the 25th benefit auction will take place. This auction benefits the Clinic for Special Children and the Central PA clinic registered as a nonprofit. All contributions and 100 percent of the profit will go to the clinic.

The clinic was established in 1989. Its mission was to provide comprehensive medical care, integrate science and clinical medicine and share all knowledge with other facilities to improve the health of children with genetic disorders. Currently the clinic serves over 2,500 patients and treats 170 unique disorders. For more information on the clinic go to http://www.CLINICFORCHILDREN.ORG.

This year something new has been added. On Sept. 9, the night before the auction, a smoked rib dinner will be sold. This will start at 4 p.m. until sold out. There are no advance tickets. Participants can take out or eat there.

This year on Friday night, attendees can preview items that will be auctioned off. This will consist of items such as quilts, rugs, flowers, a buggy, furniture, power tools and dairy feed.

There will be a silent auction and at least three auctioneers auctioning at the same time.

This auction takes much planning and coordinating. Support from the community is always very good for this event. Donations will be taken up to and including the day of the auction. If you have an item to donate, call Mervin Martin at (814) 793-3529 for more information.

Dr. Morton will speak as well as a few colleagues at noon. The auction will pause at this time and continue after this is over.
