H-burg Borough Council Discusses Fire Company Funds, Met with Opposition

The Phoenix Volunteer Fire Company was the subject of a great deal of discussion at the Hollidaysburg Borough Council August monthly meeting. The council voted to approve the request for the release of $27,590 to the fire company to cover loan payments and expenditures for the year.

This release of money hinges on the fire company releasing copies of checks, invoices, receipts, and its insurance package from now back to 2019 to Borough Manager Jim Gehret for review. If all finances dating back to 2019 are found to be in order, the borough will release the money to the Phoenix Fire Company...
