Firearms a Dead Law

The borough ordinance relating to the discharge of firearms within its limits is evidently a dead law, or else it would be enforced. Violations of this law have been many recently.

Major Alex Bobb was off to Everett attending a reunion of the 133 Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers.

The war is on. What will be the outcome between the two factions within the Republican ranks? The fight will be protracted, fierce and ruinous.

There are several young bicycle riders who came into town from South of the borough and behaved very unmannerly on our streets on Saturday night last. They are a rude set and may get themselves into a lot of trouble if they keep up this bad behavior.

Mr. Elias Glass recently papered and painted the interior of the Mennonite church in Millerstown, a marked improvement.

Prospects for a chestnut crop are very favorable.
