Speakers at Genealogical Society to Discuss 'Indian Eve'

The Blair County Genealogical Society will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022, at the Roller Hojeth Memorial Library, 431 Scotch Valley Rd.
The speakers this September will be Carl Sellers, his daughter Lora Sellers, and his brother Gary Sellers, all members of the Dutch Corner History Group. The title of the talk is “The Legacy of Indian Eve.”
“Indian Eve,” or Mrs. Eve Ernst, was taken captive by the Indians and lived with them at their camp before being traded to the English at Fort Detroit. She eventually made her way back to Bedford County. She is buried at the Messiah...
