Herald of Sept. 18, 1997

The birds were feeding in nearby fields and then resting on airport property. A “warbler” was set up along the runway to create shrill noises to scare the birds away.

The Pennsylvania Federation of Business and Professional Women honored Debra McNerlin as state BPW Woman of the Year for 1996-97. Miss McNerlin was a reading and secondary English teacher in the Williamsburg Community School District.
