Car-Pedestrian Accident

A Roaring Spring resident was injured when he was struck by a car at the intersection of Spang and South Main Streets in Roaring Spring. Samuel C. Thomas, 66, was transported to Conemaugh Nason Hospital with a suspected minor injury after he was struck by a car driven by Jennifer D. Balliet, 55, also of Roaring Spring at 7:02 a.m, Sept. 6. Balliet was cited in the crash.

Drug Overdose

Pennsylvania State Police responded to a reported drug overdose along Bedford St., Greenfield Township, Blair County on Aug. 24. Police discovered Harleigh Knisely, 23, of New Paris overdosed on a controlled substance at the location. At the time Knisely was supervising a four-year-old child inside the residence, and as a result was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
