Representatives from Roaring Spring, Williamsburg and Hollidaysburg were ordered to appear before the State Sanitary Water Board to explain why they were not operating existing sewage works. All three towns were located along the Juniata River and had modern treatment works installed some years ago that were not being used. Hollidaysburg and Roaring Spring officials said that they should not be forced to use their systems when larger communities were not. Williamsburg authorities reported that they had not received notice of the meeting.
