Allocation of Federal COVID Recovery Funds

In March 2021, Congress passed the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), which included funding for state, local and Tribal governments nationwide. The Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) program delivered $350 billion to assist these governments with recovery efforts from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Pennsylvania municipalities were eligible to receive $3.05 billion. For most municipalities, the funds were distributed based on municipal population, with more populated municipalities receiving more money than less populated municipalities.
