The Lady Dragon Tennis team traveled to face the Forest Hills Lady Rangers to start the week, ending with a 4-1 victory. At home for Senior Night against the Somerset Lady Eagles, the night ended with a 4-1 loss for the Dragons.
Against the Rangers, the Dragons lost in the first match of the night but swept through the next four matches. In the second singles match, Ashlyn Renner won in just two sets, winning 6-1 and 6-0. Brooklyn Coppersmith then won the third singles match by forfeit. Adacyn James teamed with Kate Dunn to win the first doubles match with set scores of 6-3 and 6-1. Kimmy Yingling and Kaylee Cole teamed to win the second doubles match in two sets, winning the first 6-0, and the second 6-3.
At home for Senior Night, the Dragons were unable to claim a win in the singles matches, stretching two of the three matches into three sets for near wins, however. The sole winners of the match were the doubles team of Cole and Annabel Shippey, winning in two sets with scores of 6-4 and 6-3 respectively. Congratulations to seniors Kaylee Cole, Adacyn James, Annabel Shippey and Kimmy Yingling.
At the end of the week, one win and one loss total the Dragons' record to 9-5. In the upcoming week, the Dragons will face the Westmont Hilltop Lady Hilltoppers, the Bishop Guilfoyle Lady Marauders and the Richland Lady Rams with the end of the regular season quickly approaching.
