Foreman Suffers Mill Accident

Ira Kagarise, foreman of the J. B. Fluke and Sons planing mill was the victim of a serious accident at the mill. While operating a rotary shaping machine, Mr. Kagarise’s right hand and wrist got caught on the sharp knife and he sustained serious and painful injuries before being thrown clear. Mr. Kagarise maintained a powerful grip on his arm to stem the bleeding from an artery while being transported to Nason Hospital in Roaring Spring by the mill manager. He was treated by Dr. W. L. Hair, and a long recovery period is expected.
